How did I countdown to New Year 2015? By sleeping. My husband is not big with Gregorian New Year celebration so he didn't really plan something extraordinary for our New Year's Eve countdown. As such I couldn't be bothered either with celebrating New Year's Eve all by myself, at home. I didn't greet 2015 with a bang. I greeted 2015 with a good night sleep.
On another note, I usually don't really set targets on what I want to achieve in a specific year but 2014, especially the Q4, has indeed been a particularly tiring and tough year for me. As a result, I've done quite a bit of thinking about my life lately.
I may be a tad late in coming up with some New Year Resolutions at the moment, considering that people usually come up with the list by 1st of January; but again, better late than never, isn't it?
New year, new you: Yell less, love more.
Some of my New Year's Resolutions for 2015 are:
- Loosen up. Be someone who is less uptight and have more fun with life. Life is neither a war nor a competition.
- Travel overseas more.
- Yell less at Naomi. Sometimes I forget that she is just a 2 y/o little girl. Naomi is just a toddler who acts like... toddler. Mischievous at times, energetic and strong-willed for most of the time. Not to mention that she doesn't talk yet.
- Be kinder to my husband.
- Get pregnant again and deliver baby #3 safely, if God permits.
The above are the "big" goals that I hope I can accomplish this year. There are certainly many other things I want to personally achieve in 2015 but I don't want to bore you reading the list. I also don't plan to write down my New Year's Resolution in a pretty piece of a paper, frame them and sleep next to them every night so I'd be constantly reminded of my resolutions. Nonetheless, I hope I'd remember and stick to them until 31st December 2015 midnight, especially those points that involve practice in my daily life.
OK... Now that holiday was officially over since last week, when is the next holiday coming up? I can't wait.
